Set during the period preceding the allied forces victory in WWII, THE GENERAL’S AFFAIR examines the relationship between Winston Churchill, Dwight D Eisenhower and his British Army driver Kay Summersby. Told from the perspective of Albert Phillips, the British Army Sergeant assigned to Eisenhower’s secret wartime train (code-named ‘ALIVE’), THE GENERAL’S AFFAIR is being written with reference to never-before-seen documentation recently presented to Large Art Productions by the grandson of Albert Phillips. Large Art Productions have purchased the option rights to this story from Mr Phillip's family, who are also actively assisting in the writing of this amazing story.

Having been initially assigned to drive for General Eisenhower for one day only, it was obvious to those present that there was an instant attraction between the General and Miss Summersby, an Irish ex-model, and at the end of that first day Eisenhower asked her to be his permanent driver. She went on to perform all his secretarial duties, including writing letters to Eisenhower’s concerned wife, Mamie, who had heard news of the affair. They became inseparable, and Eisenhower promoted Miss Somersby to 2nd Lieutenant in the Woman’s Army Corp and later granted her American citizenship.

For the first time ever THE GENERAL’S AFFAIR uses genuine, verifiable evidence to tell the story of how this relationship affected Eisenhower’s relationship with Churchill (who he met on many occasions on the ALIVE train in the build-up to D-Day), what Churchill himself thought of Miss Summersby, and how the powers-that-be viewed the relationship in preparation for Eisenhower’s eventual highly-successful two terms as President of the USA.

Currently in script development, this project will also benefit from the production experience of Mark Foligno, Executive Producer of THE KING’S SPEECH, and due to its combination of having leading characters who could be considered two of the most influential leaders of modern times, the setting of the greatest wartime victory in British and American history, and one of the most controversial love affairs of all time, THE GENERAL’S AFFAIR has already garnered interest of many in the film industry and beyond. Indeed, Albert Phillip's story has already been the subject of a two-page spread in the Sunday Express, and has also been the subject of a web-blog by the renowned journalist, Dan Snow.

Captain Cody Malone vs The Mysterious Martians from Mars is an animation project brought to the Large Art slate by Mark Foligno. Cody Malone draws on the critically acclaimed and commercially successful models created by Disney and Pixar, offering intelligent cinematic entertainment to children and adults alike by combining great writing, strong casting and years of technical expertise from both the film and the computer games industries.

The year is 1977, the place is Planet Earth, just as the 1950s sci-fi serials predicted it. Captain Cody Malone finds himself captured by the Martian fleet whilst Earth's leaders are preparing to receive the Martian Emperor Nitko (who is to sign an historic peace treaty) and is forced to watch as the “Mind Changer”, a gigantic space ship primed to beam radon at Earth, hovers into position. In a moment, Earth’s population are turned into mindless “radon zombies” obedient to Nitko’s every word. What will happen? Will Nikto’s dastardly plan succeed?

London, 1988. After decades of fighting, preening and posturing, the various youth sub-cultures of the era lower their guards and embrace each other. For the first time they share venues and dancefloors and begin spreading an all-inclusive ideology, one of friendship and affection. This was the summer that ecstasy first combined with the new music emerging from the nightclubs of Chicago and New York, »House« music, and brought the youth of the UK together.

’88 THE SECOND SUMMER OF LOVE is the story of Luke, an up-and-coming DJ who finds himself at the forefront of the House music explosion that drives these events, and what happens when his estranged, career-criminal father returns to his life and involves him in his plan to fund a new nightclub on the »White Isle« of Ibiza.

Large Art Productions will be working with the Executive Producer of ‘THE KING’S SPEECH’, Mark Foligno, to bring to the screen a dynamic screenplay written by Gary Tippings and Jeremy Sheldon (Golden Years, Montana, Best Laid Plans). Having already secured the music rights to all of the classic tracks of the era the soundtrack alone will be enough to whet the appetite of anyone interested in the history of dance music and club culture, but combining it with an absorbing, pulsating story that involves an audacious and dangerous series of heists, the return of old, dangerous flames and the unexpected blossoming of new passions means that ‘88 THE SECOND SUMMER OF LOVE is sure to be a massive cultural cinematic event, as well as being the film that chronicles the late ’80’s UK House music phenomenon forever.

Beginning his production career at the BBC in the early 80’s Gary went on to work at C4 Television as a senior production assistant. Having spent most of the 1990’s working on the other side of the camera as an actor/model, he also has some 20 years of experience as a writer of novels and short stories.

Bringing all these elements together in late 2015, Gary incorporated Large Art Productions in January 2016, originally to facilitate the production of ‘88 - The Second Summer of Love’, a screenplay based on his original story that he has recently adapted for screen with Jeremy Sheldon. Interest in this project created the foundation for Large Art Productions. Gary is currently developing the screenplay for 'The General's Affair' with Jeremy Sheldon.
